Women's Group

Alamo Community Church’s Women’s Ministry aims to connect and reconnect women and lead them in a growing relationship with Christ.  Women’s Ministry desires to help women learn more about the person and work of Christ through studying the Bible together and creating a community for women of all ages. Various events are scheduled throughout the year, as well as year-round Bible studies.

Women's Spring Study

10 sessions, beginning the week of February 5 -  April 15.

Beginning with Genesis 12, walk alongside the fathers of our faith—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph—to discern Jesus in the stories of His people. Over 10 sessions, discover how God orchestrates everything for His glory and the good of His people, and see how the God of creation and covenant is the same yesterday, today, and forever. You can purchase the workbook through this registration as an add-on.  You can come pick it up at the church once it comes in.  Or, if you'd rather purchase the book on your own, it is available through one of these companies: Amazon, Christian Book Distributors, and Lifeway. We will have three times available for you. Hope you'll join us!

Adult Discipleship Director

Ruth Bechtold

Originally from North San Antonio, Ruth Bechtold spent nine years in Temple, Texas as a nurse while volunteering in her church's children's and women's ministries. She then became a nurse educator for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and has worked there since 2013. However, it took meeting her now husband and the love of her life, Carson, for Ruth to return to West San Antonio. Ruth and Carson have enjoyed serving the ACC family since attending in 2019. Now getting to split time between UMHB and Alamo Community Church, Ruth is our Adult Discipleship Director as of November 2022. When not working, you can find Ruth going through one or more bible studies, reading, and enjoying time with family and friends.
