Students, join us for our 5th Annual Color Night! This year, we're offering one big gathering for our High school and Middle school students to enjoy some color and neon light games on November 20 from 6:30–8:30 pm. We'll provide the lights, games, and supper; you come ready to add some color to your Thanksgiving break! For more information, contact Pastor to Students Daniel Johnson at daniel@alamocommunity.org.
If you enjoy working outside, we invite you to join us for our Christmas Tree Work Day on Saturday, November 23, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. We’ll trim trees, disassemble the student gaga ball pit, construct our 25ft Christmas tree, and do the general cleanup as we prepare for new guests, activities, and events at ACC this holiday season. If you’re interested in joining us, you can sign up today.
Senior Adult ladies, join us for First Friday, December 6, from 10 am to noon here at ACC! This is a fun way for our senior adult ladies to meet and get to know each other. You can also participate in a painting craft session at this First Friday event. The cost for supplies is $15, and you can pay online or at the event (cash or check). Bring a friend and a snack to share for brunch. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Make plans to attend our Senior Adults Christmas Party on Saturday, December 7, at 11 am. It'll be a Tex-Mex celebration and a great opportunity to get together with friends, make new friends, and enjoy some amazing tamales. All you have to do is bring a side dish and let us know you are coming.
Make plans to join us on Sunday night, December 8, from 6 to 7:30 pm as we "Light The Alamo City." Light The Alamo City is a community event where we come together, sing some of our favorite Christmas carols, and light up our 25ft Christmas Tree on the lawn. Tickets are free and will be available at Connection Point starting Sunday, November 17. All we need you to do is bring a warm blanket and lawn chair and invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join the celebration. Come as early as 5 to grab a bite from some of the community's best food trucks. You can sign up to join our volunteer team for this incredible event.
High School and Middle Schoolers are invited to one of our favorite combined events of the year, our annual Students Christmas Party! Join us December 15 from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm and wear your favorite Christmas sweater, and we'll provide the games, free food, and prizes.
At ACC, on the third Saturday of every month, we have the opportunity to pack and distribute food with our friends at the Christian Family Food Pantry. This month, we get to serve our community in this capacity once again and would love for you to be a part of it. We need ten volunteers to distribute food boxes from 6:30–9 am. This is a great way to connect to people and give back to the community.
As you begin to make plans for Christmas, we invite you and your family to celebrate with us on Tuesday, Christmas Eve, December 24. Join us as we sing the songs and share the story of Christmas together at 2, 3:30, 5, or 6:30 pm. One Christmas Eve service, four opportunities for you and your family to attend. We can't wait to see you there.
On February 7, 2025, we have the incredible opportunity to partner with the Tim Tebow Foundation and Morgan's Wonderland to host Night to Shine — an unforgettable prom night experience centered on God's love for people with special needs ages 14 and older. It's one of our favorite events to host as a church family, and we need your help. Our Night to Shine volunteers have the privilege of giving every guest who enters the red carpet the royal treatment, including hair and makeup, shoe shining, limousine rides, and, of course, lots of dancing! If you're interested in volunteering, sign up today.
ACC's Men's Conference is coming up on January 24 and 25, and we'd love for you to attend. We're excited to welcome guest speaker Dr. Scott Keith, Executive Director of 1517, adjunct professor of Theology at Concordia University Irvine, and author of Being Dad: Father as a Picture of God's Grace. Join us for an amazing opportunity to grow in faith, connect with other men, and enjoy delicious Texas-style barbecue on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning.
